"happenings around the farm"
Coal - our ram after 2 rounds of antibiotics and a full set of Xrays later revealed a small fracture.
He is on stall rest for 6 weeks and isn't happy that he has to have a big bandage to immobilize his leg.
Lots of TLC and treats in store for him.

JUSTA BREEZE
On December 27, 2009 "Breeze" joined our family. He is a 9 year old thoroughbred cross who gets along well with Cody and has a loving personality toward the humans on the farm. He was initially a little freaked out about the sheep but now spends time grazing among them. He does however occasionally herd them around the pasture.
Sometime in our lives we have the distinct pleasure of having as a friend someone who is kind, loving and makes a tremendous difference in our life. Hillyard Farms lost just a friend on September 20, 2009. Mack was our friend and a part of our family. He will be greatly missed.

Special thanks to Dr. Emily Baird for her kindness during the loss of our beloved Mac and Drs. Brent & Becky Scarlett for their generosity in allowing Belle to visit Cody (our paint). Cody missed Mac tremendously and the company of Belle helped him through his grieving.
Sometimes everyone needs a good roll in the grass and if one does the other must follow
